Tutorials for Teachers

District Technology: The district technology staff provide a multitude of services, training and resources for the academic use of technology by students, teaching staff, administrators, and the community.  These include helpdesk support, system analysis, computers in the class room, computer labs, network services, video conferencing, email, file sharing, printing, a district web site, and high speed Internet access.  The network core is a 1Gb fiber backbone connecting each building and providing 100Mbs to each of the over 450 computers, printers, maintenance equipment and file servers that comprise the district information system.

Curriculum: The Cle Elum-Roslyn School District believes all students can be successful learners, and that the use of technology will enrich their learning experiences. Technology must play an important role in all areas of instruction. When properly integrated into the educational process, technology becomes an empowering teaching/learning tool. Our curriculum is designed to empower students to:
  • employ technology as a tool to access, analyze and use information
  • demonstrate continuous growth in appropriate applied technologies
  • adapt to technological change as it occurs
  • communicate using technology and technical language
  • exhibit responsible use of technological resources and systems
  • seek opportunities to continually develop their technical knowledge and skills

Technology Plan : The Cle Elum-Roslyn School District supports technology as an essential part of student performance and the daily operation of the district. Our technology plan is comprehensive and addresses curriculum; professional development; infrastructure, hardware, technical support, and software; funding and budgeting; and monitoring and evaluation. Because of the dynamic nature of technology, our plan is reviewed/updated annually to meet the ever-changing needs of our students, staff and community.
