At the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District, we make it a priority to provide a safe and healthy school environment for students and staff. The district has taken proactive measures to ensure student and employee safety by developing an emergency response system and by training key staff to implement emergency procedures as necessary. An Emergency Procedures flipchart hangs in every classroom in the district, providing detailed plans for keeping children safe during all types of crisis. Emergency relocation sites are designated in the event that children need to be evacuated from a school site. The district has collaborated with local emergency response agencies to plan for coordinated efforts in case of a crisis, and schools practice lockout drills and fire/earthquake drills on a regular basis. |
| Cle Elum-Roslyn School District Safety Committee- In order to carry out the district's mission to provide a safe and healthy environment, a Safety Committee has been formed. The committee is comprised of administrators, staff members, parents and county health department representatives and meets once a month throughout the school year. The objective of the Safety Committee is to review district safety and security standards and ensure student and employee safety programs represent industry best practices. For more information on the Safety Committee, please call the district office at 649-4850. Please click here for the most recent Safety Committee minutes and information on upcoming meetings. |
