Peacemakers Peacemakers is an umbrella term that defines our entire elementary social skills program. Social skills taught by the counselor and principal in classrooms focus on research-based, interactive programs such as Skillstreaming, Community Works and Project Alert. Our program is responsive and evolving, and we use this interactive format to teach any topic that may arise such as bullying, personal safety and alcoholic families as well as appropriate topics tailored to individual classroom needs. Critical thinking is emphasized; we want students to have the ability to think clearly and create their own solutions.
